Do I need to pay my employer if I resign before two months of contract expiry?

Hi there,

I am on a limited contract visa in Abu Dhabi. I still have two months left in my contract, but I have officially informed my employer that I am resigning.

I am currently working on my 30-day notice period as per the contract. I still have 10 days left to complete the notice period.

Do I need to pay my employer anything?

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

If you resign before completing your limited contract in the UAE, your employer may ask for compensation to cover any losses caused by your early departure.

It is advisable to discuss this with your employer to understand their stance and the potential compensation amount.

Dear Questioner,

Since you completed the contract upon expiry, you do not have to pay anything to the employer.

As you have one month left in your contract, try to settle this issue with your employer.
