Claiming temporary maintenance and execution of judgement
Good morning Sir,
I have filed an execution for temporary maintenance, the notice sent has been returned.
Now, I skipped time to resend notice. Meanwhile, the final judgement has been ordered.
How will I get my maintenance? Do I need to take any step or just to wait if he pays or not?

Dear Ma'am,
Hope you are fine.
Further to your query, kindly be informed that as the judgement has been awarded, the defendant has 30 days time-frame to file an appeal against the judgement.
If the defendant fails to file an appeal within 30 days, then the judgement is deemed to be final and you can proceed with the execution of the judgement.
Filing an application for execution can be done at the personal status court. While in the execution of the judgement, if the court is not able to locate the defendant, then in such case, you can file an application for notification by a newspaper or by other means.
And if still there is no result in reaching out to the defendant, then, you can file an application for the attachment of the properties of the defendant, which includes, bank account and other tangible properties.
We, furthermore, opine to provide us with a copy of the judgement for our review in order to guide you about your maintenance and the steps of filing execution.
For confidentiality, you can send us the copy of the final judgement and temporary maintenance order at info@awsuwaidi-advocates.com or you can call us at 045547635.
Best regards,
Aws M. Younis
