Can an employer terminate an employee without giving a termination letter?
Dear Sir/Madam,
Can an employer terminate an employee without giving a termination letter?
My employer told me that I need to find another job, but they didn't give me a termination letter. I'm confused about whether I should still go to work.
What should I do?
Hello Questioner,
I hope you're well!
Please be informed that in accordance with the most recent labor regulations in the UAE, any termination of an Employment Contract—whether initiated by the employer or initiated by the employee through resignation—must be documented in WRITING.
During the probationary period, a notice period of at least 14 days is required. If the termination occurs after the probationary period, a notice period of at least 30 days must be provided to the other party.

Hi,
The company needs to give you a termination notice and a notice period in writing.

If your employer hasn't given you a termination letter but has suggested looking for another job, it's important to talk to them and understand your job status.
