The right to terminate an employee during probation
I have a Bahraini employee who is on the probation period. He was found to be not a team player, does not share information and creates rifts among the team.
I have tried my best to mentor him and take him along the team, but he is not appearing to change. Can I terminate him before his probation period ends?

Hi,
As provided in the law, the employer, as well as the employee, could terminate the employment contract by one-day notice during the probation period.
Article 21(b) stipulates "Either party may terminate a labour contract during the probation period if the said party finds that its continuance is not appropriate, provided that the party terminating the contract notifies the other party at least one day before the date of termination."
