The procedures of labour execution and its time frame
Q: Dear Sir, I have a labour case in Dubai Courts and got the final judgment on my favour. Now, I am going to open the execution file. If I withdraw my case, the company is ready to pay 50 per cent of the amount. Will the execution court make any negotiations if the employer ask for deduction? Will it take a long time to make the execution?

What is the maximum time for execution of a labor case?
Q: What is the maximum time for a labor execution? In my case, both the First Court & Court of Appeal ruled in my favor. The execution court started the procedure and my ex-employer did not respond. Then the court sent messages to various banks and the government to block the licenses. It has been 3 weeks but still no progress. How long do I have to wait? Also, my ex-employer has again made a petition for review of the order of the Court of appeal. What would happen next and how long do I have to wait? Kindly advise!

Can you request an arrest warrant for manager to force payment in the execution?
Q: I have won a labor case against my company in the appeal court for non-payment of dues. I have also filed for execution. Can I please get some clarity on what happens once the execution is filed? It has been more than 3 weeks since it’s filed. I was told that I can file for the arrest of the manager now. However, I’m not clear on what happens next. Highly appreciate a response.

Why are there court fees on appeal?
Q: Dear sir/madam, Why is there a 2.5% court fee on appeal? Also if I appeal within 3 days, do I have to pay this extra? Can I open the case in 3 days and then submit the additional documents in 30 days? Can I also change the amount to below 100,000 in the appeal?

When settling labor court fees, we were asked to pay "case closure fees." What are they?
Q: Dear Lawyers, We recently remitted payment for court fees and litigation charges associated with a two-level appeal process in the Labor Court. This action followed the issuance of the appeal decision, which also mandated the case's transfer back to the Court of First Instance. However, upon attempting to settle the aforementioned fees, we were also informed of the necessity to pay "case closure fees." We request clarification regarding the significance of this unexpected charge and the status of the appeal.

Liability of daughter against the debts of her father
To whom this may concern, I returned back to Australia after 10 years in Abu Dhabi in 2015. As I turn 18 this year in November, I plan on visiting friends who are in the UAE for about a month. I would like to travel with them around the country freely without any prosecution from local officials. My father had to leave the UAE in 2016 for health reasons and has unpaid debts in the UAE, Abu Dhabi specifically. I would like to know and have it in writing if I would be able to travel freely to the UAE at the end of the year and that I am not liable for my parents' debts/problems as I have no legal responsibilities for their actions. Bounced cheque case for a loan after paying the fine
Hi I have got a call from Dubai Police last week regarding my cheque bounce which I issued to the bank due to default on loan payment on time. I paid a visit & they referred me to the prosecution & I got fine which I already paid and got clearance. I want to know if the bank can still file a case against me & I still need to contact the bank for settlement or case clearance. I am getting too many calls even after that, and the debt collector is actually harassing with the worst behaviour & back to back calls which actually ruined my personal life and put me in depression with high bp. Thank you
