Q: Hi,
I am T. H. from Pakistan. I am a software engineer by profession. I want legal advice.
When I was in Pakistan, I applied for a job in the UAE online. A private company sent me an offer letter after online test and interview.
At that time, they wanted to send me a work visa but at the same time, I already have a visit visa for the UAE, so I explained to them that I already have visit visa.
They advised me to avail the visit visa and come to the office so to sign other documents to get ready to change my visa status to employment.
I appeared in the office and then they gave me some 1 week to get accommodation near the office. Within 1 week I told them that I am ready to join, but now they are not giving me any positive answer.
All these conversations are by email. What should I do now? Any advice, please?

What to do if your new employer withdrew the employment offer
33
Q: I got an employment offer from one of the construction companies from Dubai after the personal interview. I signed the employment offer which I received through email and sent back.
Now, after 20 days, they withdrew this offer as per their management decision. I am working in Qatar and I already resigned from my job, and next week I have to leave Qatar.
I don't know what to do. Is there any chance to claim it legally?

How to sue an employer after revoking a job offer?
3
Q: I received an offer letter from a company (the offer letter has the Managing Director's name mentioned but no signature) which was accepted by me (via email confirmation).
This was followed by a face-to-face meeting with MD to finalize my joining date (which was agreed to be 01-Apr-2021). Accordingly, the new employer asked me to resign from my current job and submit a business plan for my new role.
I resigned from my current position and, as requested, a business plan was submitted. I and my new employer, along with another co-founder, had a detailed discussion on zoom call on the business plan and everything seemed fine.
Suddenly, after that meeting, my new employer is not responding to my calls and messages. Also, they are not giving any clarity on my joining date.
In case my new employer revokes the offer, do I stand a chance to sue the company and claim compensation?

Inability to complete the employment process by a hospital. What to do?

1
Q: Dear sir/madam,
I need advice or suggestion regarding my case.
I am a specialist doctor working in an MOH Govt job and I got a call from a private hospital in Dubai. CV was short-listed an interview was done and I was selected, then I received an e-offer letter and after accepting it, a final offer letter was signed.
They asked me to resign from my job which I did with 1 month's notice. Now after the cancellation of the license, they have to apply for a new license. For one month, I was waiting and asking for joining.
Out of sudden, they are saying that they are not able to obtain a license from MOH because this category of the previous license is not applicable to the private sector. From the start, I kept mentioning and asking to be sure; they said no issue will be for getting it. Now they said they can't.
Now, I don't know what can I do. I lost my previous job because of them.
I want to know what legal rights I have, and what legal action I can take against the new company.

View allTerminating an employee after sick leave and claiming compensation 0
Hello,
My employer fired me under Article 44 for not showing up for work for 7 days in a row. But that’s not the case at all. I was sick and the management was aware and they let me go.
I went to another country to get treatment because it’s expensive in Dubai. My employer did not pay me my salary for the month I worked and fired me.
I have official sick leave from another country and there is correspondence where my employer sent me to another country for treatment.
The problem is that the employer says that he will take compensation for the training that was specified in the contract, but I did not undergo training at all; I immediately started work from the first day of work and there was no training.
Does my employer have the right to charge me such a fee and not pay my salary?

How to make the seller hand over the tenant's security deposit to the buyer upon completing a sale? 0
Should the seller in Dubai hand over their tenant's security deposit to the buyer upon completing a sale?
Who is responsible for managing this process?
At the time of the exchange, the broker said he would follow up with the seller and collect the deposit.
He hasn’t, and the seller has not handed over the deposit.

How to cancel the MoU to buy an apartment with the broker if the bank did not approve the loan? 0
Hi,
I have a situation where I signed an MoU and gave my security deposit to the seller's agent. However later, the bank valuation of the property is lower than the selling price.
On my MoU, it has a clause that “the buyer has a right to cancel/negotiate if the bank valuation is not the same as MoU.” I tried to negotiate, however, we didn't agree on the price so I asked to cancel.
Now the agent is threatening me that they will not cancel the MoU and that will deposit my cheque. Later I also came to know that the person I am dealing with is not the same person whose name is mentioned as a broker in the MoU.
The agent I am dealing with is constantly messaging me with threats. I decided not to speak to him and instead, I wrote an email to the broker whose name is mentioned on the MoU but received no response.
I am on a very tight timeline as I need to vacate my apartment in 3 weeks, I found another unit but I don't know if I can pursue this while the initial MoU still not canceled.
Please, I need advice.
