Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I just want to know to whom I will come first.
The thing is I am on a visit visa and fortunately found a job here in Dubai. As they are processing my employment visa, my visit visa expired.
The PRO didn't inform me to apply for a visit visa until the employment visa has been issued.
Now, the employment visa is on-hold. The PRO is saying that there is an absconding case and told me to solve the problem on my own.
Please help.

My visit visa is expired and I'm overstaying. Abu Dhabi immigration put me on absconding. For my new employment visa, almost everything is done but the problem is I can't approve it because of absconding.

Q: I worked in Abu Dhabi for 2 years. My visa expired on 25/11/2016 and the company applied for visa renewal.
For an emergency situation, I exit from Abu Dhabi on 08/01/2017, and the company said that they canceled my visa and paid 45 days payment also.
Then I moved from the UAE. After a long time, I got a job in Abu Dhabi and applied for a new visa, but it showed a violation. They put a big fine on me. My old company was closed also.
In this condition, what do I have to do to clear this violation?
I am having all documents related to my exit and settlement paper.
Please guide me on this issue.

How can I remove an absconding case if I have another job offer?

Q: I have a resident visa in the UAE. I did not finish the contract with my sponsor but he put me absconding on me.
I did not run away from my sponsor but I went to my accommodation because I was a victim of crossing the country with an agent. My agent sold me to an agency and took my money.
My problem now is my visa has already expired and my employer put on me an absconding case. My visa has now expired and I have also asked for help clearing documents.
But the clearing documents say tomorrow and tomorrow because my sponsor doesn't want to cancel my visa. What should I do if my sponsor doesn't cancel me and remove absconding?
I have one company willing to help me, give me a new visa, and willing to give me an offer letter also.
Help me, what should I do? Because I don't want to get too much fines.

Two months ago, I had a visitor visa for Sharjah. Two weeks before my visa expired, I found a job. However, the employer took time to change my visa, submitting the application for a worker visa the day after my visitor visa expired.
Unfortunately, the application was rejected on grounds of absconding. Now, I have overstayed for three days. What can I do now?

Q: Hello Sir/Madam,
One of my friends came to the UAE on a Sharjah visit visa and got a job here. The employer applied for their employment visa and they received acceptance and an entry permit until 16th May.
However, before changing his status from visiting to employment, the visit visa agent put an absconding status on him.
Now he's being blackmailed and demanded 7000 AED to remove the absconding status, and he also faces an overstay fine of 2300 AED.
Please suggest how we can deal with this matter with lesser fines, remove the absconding status, and get the employment visa.

By this Decree Ministry of Labour of the UAE has removed the six-month labour ban for those who changed the job before completing two years of service. Labour ban will be still applicable for workers that qualify for skill level 4 and 5 under various circumstances.

We need the money now. We have been to the police station, and they said they can not do anything as the reason the cheque bounced is "Insufficient funds."

I joined my new company on February 26, 2025. Upon joining the new company, I asked HR if it was free to join the company, and she said yes.
After working with them for 1 month, I experienced a salary delay, and I had to go to the office to ask why there was a delay in my salary.

After 11 months of work, how many leave days is an employee entitled to? 0
Hello,
I want to inquire regarding my leave privileges. I am now 11 months in my company. How many leaves am I privileged to?
Based on Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 regulating labour relations and its executive regulations, you are entitled to a paid weekly rest for not less than one day, as specified in the work contract or the work regulation.
The Council of Ministers may increase the weekly rest day stipulated in this article. The Decree-Law and its executive regulations also stipulate that you are entitled to an annual leave with full pay as follows:
- Thirty days for each year of your extended service.
- Two days per month in respect of any employee with more than six months and less than one year of service.
- Leave for parts of the last year of your service in case it is terminated before you use your annual leave balance.
Now my question is: do I have 22 days I can use? Can someone explain to me in detail?
