Bank claim to pay a loan after paying a fine in the criminal case
Good afternoon
I have a case regarding a loan with a bank. They put on me a police case for a bounced cheque. I have already attended a court and paid a penalty.
Then I got notification from the court that I am free, but the bank still pushes me for making a minimum payment.
The question is if I have already paid a penalty to the court, does the loan still continue?

Dear Questioner,
With reference to your inquiry, kindly be informed that the previous case was a criminal one, which has ended up with imposing a fine on you.
Other than that, there is still a civil case in which the bank can file a case, in order to obtain a judgment ordering you to pay the entire amount. That's why the bank is currently in contact with you.

Dear questioner,
In addition to what my colleague Mr Elkhatib mentioned in his below message - which is all correct and accurate - I would like to emphasise that your position now in regards to your liability towards the repayment of the loan did not change.
The bank may contact you for the repayment of the original loan value and delay penalties and banking interests.
It is, however, better for the bank now to settle with you by rescheduling the loan if you have a safe job or by selling the loan to another bank who might be happy to give you another loan to settle this amount.
I suggest you communicate with the bank and try to settle with them.
