How can a widow in India sell her deceased husband's car in Dubai?

Dear Sir/Madam,

One of my friends passed away in Dubai in 2021. His wife is in India, and she wants to sell the car.

She has a DIFC court order stating that she is the executrix, and she has her husband's death certificate.

She is not able to travel to the UAE because she is sick.

Please advise her on how she can sell the car.

Dear Questioner,

She can issue a POA from India to a lawyer here in the UAE. The POA will need to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE embassy in India and then sent to the UAE.

Once done, the lawyer can execute the sale here.

For more details, please contact us on WhatsApp.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question, I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

To sell the car in the UAE, your friend's wife can appoint someone as her attorney-in-fact through a notarized and legalized Power of Attorney (POA) at the UAE embassy in India.

The appointed person can then handle the car transfer procedures and sell the car on her behalf. Ensure to seek legal advice for specific guidance on the process.

For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.

We will definitely be happy to help you.

Thanks & Regards,

ABDUL WAHIED

Good day,

Please share the will with DIFC so that we can check the possibility of proceeding through a POA.

It may also be necessary to provide a legal heirship certificate that has been obtained and attested to support the process (subject to the terms of the will).

Please feel free to contact us via phone or email!
