The right to seek divorce in home country instead of the UAE

My husband has divorced me and now he wants the custody of the son through Sharjah court.

I am an Indian and I want to solve this issue in India, what will happen if I do not reply to the court order of Sharjah.

I don't want to go to court here as the law in my country is different. even though I am a Muslim.

Dear Questioner,

I am really sorry to hear your situation. I hope everything will be in place shortly.

Please note that the application of Sharia Law is the same in India as well as in the UAE.

I would recommend you to appear before the Court and ask for the custody of the Son. I would like to know the age of the child before advising you further.

I would like to know more about your matter so that I can help you further in this matter. If you need any assistance, you may feel free to contact me.

Thank you.
