Q: Sir. I am working in a restaurant as a food supervisor. I was working in a restaurant in Dubai, where I got an AED 5000 salary. A managing director of a restaurant in Abu Dhabi asked me to join his restaurant. That time he offered me a salary of AED 7000, so I resigned from my job in the Dubai restaurant. After I joined the Abu Dhabi restaurant, he mentioned in my labour contract AED 4500 salary only. That time he said above AED 5000 salary I have to pay more amount for the insurance, and the remaining balance amount he will give cash or cheque. So, I signed the contract. After that, he did not pay my salary properly. I was working around 11 months, but he paid only 6 months. In these 6 months, he also paid my basic salary only (in my contract, the basic salary is AED 3500 and other allowances are AED 1000, in total salary is AED 4500). Now, he is saying that he's not going to pay because I bring losses to his business. So please help me with this situation, Sir.

Q: Hi I have been working in the UAE since Feb 2017 and I left my job on 31st July 2018 due to unpaid salary. I am on a free zone visa, valid until 2020 (Tecom: Academic City). Still, my one salary is pending and I also have not taken my yearly one month paid vacation for 2017 (as included in my contract). Now, the company wants to cancel my visa. I just want to know if they can cancel my visa without my signature. And am I entitled to receive one salary for my paid vacation that I did not take? Where should I go to file the complaint?

Q: Hello Mr. Ahmed, My wife is working in a private company in Dubai since September 2018. The employer and his partner spent 2 months in prison for some illegal activity. Employer's clients used to call my wife and ask her to finish the pending jobs (the jobs are not her responsibilities but she finished them when her employer requested that from her through the phone) and 1 month back, the employer came out of prison. For 6 months, her employer is not transferring salary, he paid 2 months' salary in small amounts. 4 months are pending. Whenever she asks, he does not respond. When she complained to the ministry of labor (80060), they told her they can solve the salary issue, but if she wants to resign, the employer has the right to ban her for 1 year and she has to pay the employer 45 days salary due to her limited contract. She doesn't want to work with him because of the reckless behavior and delaying the salary. Please advise us if we can take legal action against him.
