Competent authority to claim unpaid salaries from a free zone company

My company owes me a total of AED 120,000 of unpaid salaries over a period of three months.

My company trade license is from DMCC and they have informed employees that going to MOL to report this won’t achieve anything.

If this is correct, what legal action can be taken?

Dear questioner,

Please note that since your employer is a DMCC company, you should directly go to the free zone authority located in Almas Tower JLT first floor.

There is the relevant authority to take your complaint.

In case the free zone authority did not reach an amicable resolution with your employer, the complaint will be directed to the labour court where you can sue your employer for all the unpaid salaries in addition to a 3 months' compensation for what is interpreted as arbitrary dismissal.
