Q: Hello,
I've been wondering what would be the legal requirements to start an Instagram business that is completely home-based?
The business involves selling makeup and cosmetic appliances and is run by one person (Bahraini) alongside a contract with a courier company.
It also only works on Cash On Delivery. Does this business fall under the trading activities of Sijilat where I can use my home address or would I have to set up a commercial CR that requires a virtual commercial address?
I'm also unfamiliar with going about these entire procedures, along with being worried about the costs of establishing the Instagram page as an official legal business being too high with all costs added such as getting the CR, rent and paying VAT.
Please advise,
Thank you!

An individual must first obtain a Commercial Registration (CR) from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism (the MOICT) in order to legally conduct any business activity in the Kingdom of Bahrain. One of the requirements for obtaining a CR is a registered office or place of business, which brings up the question of whether there are any other options available for those who want to start their business from home or without a physical office space.

What are the license options available for Bahraini nationals to start a home business? 0
Hello,
We are working on home business for pastry and bakery items in Bahrain.
I'm a Bahraini national and checked for online CR but apparently the virtual ones are limited to specific fields that doesn't fall under our nature of business.
Are there other forms of home business approval setup?
I don't think we are ready now to scale up and have a CR with rented retail space.
