Claiming child maintenance from British ex-partner in Dubai

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a UK resident with 2 children. Their British father (we were not married) has resided and worked in Dubai for 6 years but does not pay child maintenance.

Is it possible to make a claim for maintenance?

Dear questioner,

In the event that there are official birth documents showing their lineage to their father, and these documents exist, he must pay the maintenance.

The absence of a valid marriage contract does not affect the father’s obligation to pay the children’s support.

Dear questioner,

If you are not married, you couldn't claim maintenance through court.

It is possible to raise a payment of alimony in the United Kingdom and demand the execution of the judgment in the UAE.
