I resigned without notice due to the non-payment of salaries. Can they claim compensation?
Hi Sir,
I have a question regarding my employer.
I worked for over 9 years in a restaurant company here in Dubai. The problem was that I submitted an immediate resignation via email without the 30 days notice period.
According to them, they will deduct my 1-month salary because of that.
Is it okay to deduct my salary even though they're the reason why the employees are resigning due to not giving the pending salaries?
We have 8 pending salaries until now.
Please help me with this matter, Sir.

You may resign immediately if salaries are delayed for 60 days.
The worker can submit a complaint to the Ministry of Labor over the phone at 80060 or the website (www.mohre..gov.ae).

Hi
As per the law, the employee/employer shall give 1month's notice in case of resignation or termination.
Since you have resigned with immediate effect. You will have to pay one month's salary. For pending salary, you can file a complaint in MOHRE.
