In the interim of cancelling the current employment visa, I have got another offer with a good raise in salary from (ABC). Now, is it mandatory that I have to join the company from which I have got labour offer letter and we have signed, or can I go ahead with the 2nd offer which has been made to me?

Q: After getting an offer letter from a company, I was called on 3 months tourist visa to the UAE. I went there as the offer was very good then after 10 days they took my signature and thumb impression on MOL offer letter and they said they will apply for my visa. But it's almost a month, they never came back and I decided to inform them and I left the country. In the meantime, I got another offer letter from a different company and then they sent me MOL offer letter and then told me to wait for 10 days for complete process. Now after googling I can find out the first company contract can be seen online at MOL website. Will this impact the new employer for MOL approval? Note my first company have not applied for an entry permit or status changed as they have not taken my degree mark-sheet attested.

Q: Hello. I'm from India. I have accepted a job offer with a firm in Dubai. I have signed the offer letter with the company and submitted my degree document for attestation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE. Now, I have received a better offer from a different company in Dubai which I want to choose. The provisions of this Law, known as "UAE Labour Law", govern the relationship between employers and employees and other labour matters in the United Arab Emirates. There are special labour related regulations applicable in some of the free zones in the UAE.

According to this Decree, tentative approval to admit a foreign worker for the purpose of employment in the UAE cannot be granted until an Employment Offer that conforms with the Standard Employment Contract is duly signed by the employee and presented to the Ministry of Labour.

The provisions of this Decree-Law, known as "New UAE Labor Law", govern labour relations in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates. The New Labor Law repeals the previous UAE Labor Law (Federal Law No. (8) of 1980).
