Legal consequences when arrested in the UAE selling items without a license

My cousin is in Dubai on a job visa. He was arrested by the local police 2 days ago because he was selling some clothes on the roadside.

What could the outcome be?

How much fine should he pay?

How long would he be arrested?

Will he be deported from Dubai by the government?

Dear Mr. H.,

Good day!

The sale of clothes in the street without a license is an offense in the UAE.

The legal consequences (fines, jail, deportation, etc) may vary depending upon the charges as per the official records.

We need to obtain a POA to check the actual status of the case and to provide advice.

For further assistance, please contact us by phone or email.

Best regards.
