Can my new employer sue me if I cancel the employment offer after accepting it?

If I have signed an offer letter with an organization and I didn't send all the required documents.

Now I want to cancel with this organization. Can I cancel or will I be legally sued?

With regard to your question, it actually depends on what type of offer letter you are referring to, is it the offer letter of the organization or your UAE employment contract?

Please be advised that if it's just an offer letter from the organization, you may not be legally liable for default but if it is your UAE employment contract i.e Labour contract you signed and it has been submitted and approved by the UAE Ministry of Labour then the organization may decide to pursue a legal case against you.

Therefore, you need to provide us with what document you signed to enable us to advise you appropriately as some people often mistake the UAE Labour Contract for a mere offer letter.
