Threatening to hold the final settlement due to refusal of extending the notice period
Dear questioner,
I have submitted my resignation letter with a 1-month notice period. Now that my last day is approaching, my manager is threatening to hold my final settlement and forcing me to extend my notice period.
Despite informing my HR and manager of my health issues, they are continuing with their actions.
Please advise!

Hi,
Pursuant to your query, since you have submitted your resignation letter with a 1-month notice period, assuming they have accepted your resignation in writing, they cannot force you to extend your notice period.
If they are threatening, you have all the right to submit a complaint to MOHRE immediately.
The worker can submit a complaint to the Ministry of Labor by phone or via the website.
All entitlements must be accounted for (overdue salaries, vacation pay, end-of-service benefits, airline tickets for him and his family, compensation for unfair dismissal, and any other entitlements as per the contract).
The matter is presented for settlement before a ministry employee, and if a resolution is not reached, the file is referred to court, and a session is scheduled for the judge's consideration.
