How to respond to a legal notice for a commercial dispute in Dubai?

What are the dos and don'ts to be observed while responding to a legal notice in Dubai, for a commercial dispute?

And is it necessary to seek the help of a lawyer to respond to a legal notice?

I am conscious that I am on loose grounds posting this question here in this forum, But my recent experience with a legal eagle was eye-opening in that he was not able to come to terms with the complexity of the case or situation, when it was quite straight forward (of course in my view).

If the notice addressed to you is related to a case or a large claim and you will contract with a lawyer if the case is raised in court, then I advise you to proceed to an accredited law firm to prepare a legal response to the warning addressed to you for a small fee.

I also advise you to contract with the same lawyer or another, if the case is filed before the court. All of this is due to your personal discretion and the size of the claim.

What if the claimed amount is not big and you wonder why someone would pursue the legal path when they could have had a direct conversation to address their grievance with us?

The lawyer has to listen to you first to know the details and then read the legal notice to respond to it carefully and professionally.

Hello,

As per your query, please note that it is better that the reply is from a lawyer. Also, if they file the case, the same lawyer can represent you.
