The required procedures for a UAE woman to marry an Indian man
Hi,
My nationality is UAE. I want to get married in India to my first cousin.
He is of Indian nationality. I will get married in India.
As I am from the UAE, what are the requirements?
Dear questioner,
The legal age for marriage is 18 years for girls and 21 years for boys. If a foreigner applies to marry an Indian, he or she can stay in India for at least 30 days before applying for marriage.
After 7 years of residence in India, you can apply for citizenship. The following documents and conditions are required to marry an Indian citizen:
1. Ex-spouse's death certificate or divorce certificate.
2. Certificate of non-prohibition of marriage.
3. A passport valid for at least 6 months for both persons.
4. The address of the foreigner's residence for 30 days in India.
5. Original birth certificate for both persons.
