Carrying prohibited drugs necessary for a child while travelng to the UAE
Dear sir/madam,
I will be traveling to the UAE on a visit visa with my family.
My 3-year-old child gets seizures when he has a fever and so we need to keep two drugs with us at all times which are Clobazam and Midazolam which appears to be on the scheduled 1v of prohibited drugs list which probably means I can't bring the meds with us.
However, as you can guess, we cannot go without the meds as they are anti-seizure so please advise if we can carry them with a prescription.
Dear questioner,
When traveling to the UAE, keep the prescription and medical report with you.
Furthermore, the quantity you are bringing into the UAE should be quantifiable against the time you plan to spend here.
For instance, one pack of 30 pills for a 30-day stay (1 per day). Furthermore, to be safe, you should get the medical report attested by the Notary Public.
Kind regards,
Kha advocates
Hello,
It can be by prescription and carry an amount sufficient for the first period of time in the UAE.
Disclose it and have attached to the prescription a medical report from an accredited hospital and then dispensed with a prescription from the UAE.
We wish your son safety and health and spend happy times in the UAE!
