Returning to the home country while the residency is not cancelled

Dear sir/madam,

I worked in a company for 6 months in the UAE but they didn't pay my salary so I registered a labour case. After a while, I cancelled it and now I want to go back to my home country with no intention of coming back.

My residency is not cancelled yet and it has validity till 2024. I don't have a travel ban also, so can I go back to my home country or will there be any blockage for me at airport immigration?

Dear questioner,

You can return to your country, but a labor complaint must be registered so that an escape report is not made against you from the company.

Dear questioner,

You can return to your country of origin without any problems and it is preferable that you cancel your residence before leaving in coordination with your sponsor so that you ensure that your employer will not report an escape and you can return to the UAE whenever you want a better job opportunity to appear.

Hi,

Pursuant to your query, if you don't have any case or travel ban in your name, you can go back to your home country.

However, it is advisable first to get the visa canceled if you aren't planning to come back to the UAE within 6 months.
