I served my tenant a 12-month eviction notice but he refuses to leave
Hi
I had served a 12-month legal notice to my tenant to vacate my apartment.
He had agreed to leave at the expiry of the contract which is 14 Nov.
But now he is saying that he will not be vacating till his new apartment is ready.
How can I evict him on the due date as I need the apartment for my own use from the 15th?
Dear User,
If you have served the eviction notice as per the legal requirements; (1) By notary public or registered mail and (2) 12 months notice period.
If these conditions are satisfied then the tenant has the legal obligation to vacate the unit. If the tenant does not vacate, you may file a case or file a complaint at the Rental Dispute Centre (RDC).
Kind regards,

Good morning,
In the event that he does not leave the apartment, the contract can continue and the rent will continue to pay the amount.

Hi,
Good to connect with you.
Since you have already served the tenant the notice, you can get the tenant evicted through a court order easily.
If you want to know the process in detail, I will be happy to discuss it with you. The professional fees for legal consultation are 250 AED/-
Thank you
