Is it possible to exit the country while there is an unpaid loan?

Hi,

I live in Dubai and I just topped up my loan. I also have a credit card from a bank. I always pay on time. I was offered a job abroad and my visa will be canceled soon.

Will I be allowed to exit the country?

Will they ban me from leaving as soon as they know that my visa got canceled?

I know I can pay my debt from abroad but I was just wondering.

Thank you!

Good morning,

I have never seen anyone being stopped from leaving UAE for this reason.

Yes, after 3 months your bank account will be dormant and you will only be allowed to deposit funds but not withdraw.

Also please note that in case of non-payment, banks may file a civil case against you resulting in a travel ban, arrest warranty, and maybe an Interpol notice for eviction too.

Thank you!
