The probation period should not exceed six months by law, and also the warning period is necessary.

For all employment contracts, the notice period mentioned in the contract is mandatory as it has been agreed upon between the employer and the employee.

When an employee resigns, he is obliged to give notice or pay a compensatory amount, unless he has a written statement from the employer in which he waives the notice period for any reason whatsoever.

The maximum probationary period according to the UAE Labor Law is 6 months, extending the probationary period for more than 6 months is illegal.
