Is it allowed for a hotel to suddenly increase the rent?
Dear sir/madam,
I have stayed in a hotel for 6 months at a rent of 8000 AED per month. Now they have suddenly increased the rent to 18000 AED per month saying that they are expecting a lot of business during World Cup.
Is this allowed by the government?
Can I file a complaint against the hotel?

Dear questioner,
They don't have the right to do so. We are renewing contracts like this by court force every day.
If you are interested, we can do the same for you.
Please contact us via WhatsApp if you are interested.

Dear questioner,
We can help you in this regard. Further, we need to know whether that landlord has given you proper notice in time and also whether the rent increase is as per the RERA calculator.
Kindly contact us via phone.
Thank you!
