The compensation awarded does not cover the fees paid to the law firm. What to do?

Dear sir/madam,

My wife filed a compensation claim in Abu Dhabi. The court found the opponent guilty and was awarded damages. Can she reclaim the legal fees paid to the law firm or only the court costs including the cost to file the case?

As the compensation awarded does not cover the fees paid.

Dear questioner,

It is your mistake as you agreed with the lawyer for the fees as a lump sum, not a percentage. Only the compensation amount you can claim now.

Try to discuss with the lawyer to reduce the fees.
