How can a sleeping partner recover his benefits as an employee?
Dear sir/madam,
I am a sleeping partner in a private LLC company in Dubai. I am paid a salary monthly. I am in the process of resigning from the company. However, the Indian partner is not willing to give me end-of-service benefits as per the labor contract.
He wants to reduce the benefit amount. Please note that I am authorized to operate the company bank account and can sign cheques and other documents.
How do I recover my benefits legally?
Please advise!

Hello,
As you have mentioned that you are a sleeping partner, so this means that you have invested, without the name in the license, and must have taken the appropriate profit thereof.
As per the labor law, as you have resigned, we have to check how many years of service and the type of contract. Based on that, you can claim the benefits.
Also, there should be no proof that you have taken the profit from the company. Also, did you serve the one-month notice period or as per the contract?
Also, you were the authorized signatory, which documents gave you the authority to do so? We need to check. Since as per UAE law, you can not have both business and employment together.
