How to claim an amount of a bounced cheque from a person in jail?

Dear questioner,

I have filed a police case for a bounced cheque of AED 1025000.00 four years ago. The person who issued this cheque was missing.

Some days ago, someone has informed me that the person is in Dubai jail.

Please advise what should I do?

You have to follow up on your criminal case, and if the opposite party still insists on not compromising with you, you will need to file a civil case with the cheque to put a travel ban against that person, otherwise, after he gets released, he will escape outside the UAE.
