Trademark protection and the meaning of "TM" and "R" symbols on a logo

I have a company in a free zone and I am in propose of setting up a B2C site for a client. How can I protect my site/logo?

What is the difference between symbol R and TM, which one should I do and how much does it cost?

Hi,

In order to protect your logo in the UAE, you have to register it as a trademark. You must also specify which class the logo belongs to when making the application.

Moreover, a "TM" symbol on a logo means that a trademark application has been filed for that particular logo but it has not been fully registered yet. However, an "R" symbol denotes that the logo has officially been registered as a trademark.

If you wish to file a trademark application, feel free to contact us below.
