Q: Hi,
I've worked 8 years and my company fired me a month ago while I'm on vacation for accusing me of stealing 10K (AED). They have evidence and show my signature that I signed last 2019; it happened 2 years ago.
I asked them to show me a CCTV that I took the money but since it happened 2 years ago, my company cannot provide CCTV footage or eyewitness.
Now they file a case against me in Dubai and I have provided all evidence to the police station where they opened the case. I am still waiting for the results of the prosecutor's decision.
1. What are the chances of winning this case?
2. If I win (inshAllah), can I sue them for wrongfully accusing me?
3. Can I still get my end of service for 8 years and my last month's salary if ever I win or lose?

The rights of a contractor wrongfully accused of stealing

Q: Hello, my husband is an engineer, and he is in Dubai since November 2, 2016. He is a foreign citizen from London.
He did a contract with a company in Dubai (oil pipes). He got paid the 2nd week of November for the job that is supposed to be finished in 4 or 6 weeks.
However, the job couldn't be done in time because the manager of the company did not provide him with enough employees and equipment to finish the job on time.
This manager does not care if my husband has to remain there forever. Unfortunately, my husband travelled alone with my daughter because it was supposed to be for short time.
On February 2017 my daughter got sick, and she was hospitalized. When my husband went to the offshore to pick up his staff he couldn't find his passport because the manager collected it from the offshore when my husband was in the hospital with my daughter.
When he arrived, the police was waiting for my husband because the manager accused him of stealing money from his office which is not true.

Misrepresentation in a criminal case filed by the bank

Q: My husband was arrested at the airport because of a wrongful case filed by a bank in the UAE against my husband's company instead of the actual loan defaulter.
My husband was held at the airport and was not allowed to travel that night. They released my husband that night after the intervention of his sponsor.
But the passport was held as security. He had to visit the police station on the next working day to prove his innocence and reclaim his passport.
We want to sue this bank. How should we proceed?

Can we claim and sell a liquidated customer’s goods to recover debts through Dubai Courts? 0
Hello,
Our customer has gone into liquidation, and we are shipping goods to Saudi Arabia. We have stopped the shipment and requested payment of their outstanding balance.
How can we request to take ownership of their goods to sell in order to recover our outstanding invoices? Is this possible in Dubai Courts?

I purchased an apartment, but the previous landlord refuses to vacate. What to do? 0
Hello,
I bought an apartment, but the previous landlord is refusing to vacate it. The contract clearly states that the landlord should hand over the apartment on the day of the transfer.
Out of courtesy, I gave him three days to vacate so he could find a new place to stay, but the time has passed, and he is still refusing to vacate and hand it over.
What should I do in this case?

My hair was damaged by a very known and professional salon. Can I seek refund and compensation? 0
Hello.
I went to a very well-known and professional salon (or so I thought) for a normal hair dye. The guy who did my hair left the dye on my hair for over an hour when it was supposed to be on for a maximum of 30 minutes.
He wasn’t paying attention to me walking around the store talking to everyone and also doing another customer's extensions.
Now my hair is potentially damaged, my skull burns, and is flaky (meaning the dye wasn’t ammonia-free which is extremely unprofessional for such an expensive salon).
I didn’t even get the outcome that I wanted and the dye color doesn’t even show. I talked to him about it but he shut it down so fast and gaslit me the whole time and made me feel like I was the wrong one and I was ‘complaining about something so light’.
Please let me know what I can do legally about this.
Thank you.
