1
Q: Greetings.
I am working in an Abu Dhabi-based company. I have three months pending salaries since Dec 2021. The fourth month is ongoing.
I got a new job and I submitted my resignation by mail on 24-Feb-2022. Now the company says our WBS system is blocked and they can cancel my visa by paying a penalty.
But I have to sign that I received all pending dues, then they will provide my pending dues whenever they received money from a client.
Any chance to join my new company without any problem?
If I go to the labor court, can I get my pending dues immediately?
How much does it cost?
Requesting your kind guidance.

Claiming labour rights ten months after resignation

3
Q: I had filed a complaint against my previous employer to whom I worked for 6 years and 7 months. They did not give me my End of Service Gratuity, Leaves and Salary which amount, in total, to 87,000 AED. They are now 10 months due from the time I resigned.
My previous employer's legal representative first said that I am not eligible for all my claims since I did not serve notice period which is not true.
I responded citing evidence and today I received a letter from them again saying that I already signed that I received all my dues. Yes, I signed the MOL cancellation, but I haven't received my money.
There is no evidence that our company transferred such amount to my account. I signed because I was told that they will not cancel my MOL and I would not be able to start with my new job.
I wish someone represents me as I feel like my previous employer's legal representative is only delaying what is due.

How to claim my labor rights if my company does not pay my labor dues?

1
Q: I'm a foreigner.
I resigned from a Dubai-based LLC company and gave them 60 days' notice. Currently, it is 44 days since the last date of the notice. The company was unwilling to cooperate.
The company hasn't paid me the remaining amount or trying to complete a resignation for me. I was asking the company. It always has no answer or feedback.
What can I do about this case?
Is what the company doing against any law?
Can I file a lawsuit against them?
Can I report this case to any gov't agencies? Which one?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Can I receive EOSB after my visa cancellation with MOHRE if I didn't claim it?

1
Q: Dear Lawyers,
I complained to MOHRE to cancel my visa, and I did not claim my EOSB (gratuity and leave salary) as I was thinking I would file a separate complaint for it.
I wanted to start my business as soon as possible, or else I would have lost many clients. After the cancellation, I found out that I can no longer claim my EOSB.
What should I do next? I am planning to file the case again after a month. Should I complain again to MOHRE after a while?
Will they accept it? Or should I go directly to civil court or labor court? What will the total cost be?

How can we claim our money back if the cheque we received have bounced for insufficient funds? 0
We received a cheque which has now bounced. We have tried for over a month and a half now to get a new cheque from the person, and every day he says the next day.
We need the money now. We have been to the police station, and they said they can not do anything as the reason the cheque bounced is "Insufficient funds."
We have been to Al Barsha - Dubai Courts, and they said there is nothing they can do about it.
We are not sure what we can do. We need the money asap to pay our kids' school fees, let alone all the interest we have lost.

Who is supposed to pay for the transfer fee, the employee or the employer? 0
Hello
I joined my new company on February 26, 2025. Upon joining the new company, I asked HR if it was free to join the company, and she said yes.
After working with them for 1 month, I experienced a salary delay, and I had to go to the office to ask why there was a delay in my salary.
That is when the HR told me she deducted my whole salary to recover the transfer fee.
Now my question is, who is supposed to pay for the transfer fee, the employee or the employer?
