The right of a gaming program owner to ban using leaked script of his program

Hello,

I have a little question.

Someone made a program (makes numbers look better in a game) for his community which is based on a mod network called [-----], but his program got leaked later.

We (rival community) weren't the ones who leaked it but we had the script given to us and we were using it. He has found out and got in contact with us, telling us to remove the script.

Are we obligated to do so?
