Notice for the eviction of a rented property before end of term

Hello Sir

How much notice does a landlord have to give me according to the law if I have been renting a property for 2 years?

I was given a letter today 18 June dated 15th May stating I must leave the premises by the 1st of July.

Thank you

Hello

Generally, it doesn’t matter that for how long you have rented the place; If the timeframe in the contract is over, you have to hand over the place to the landlord.

In this case, only one notice is enough for him to be able to force you to give up the place. If the contract is not over, you don’t have to leave the place and no one can force you, except in case of violation of the contract like using the place for different purposes.

If the contract is not over and you are using the place according to the contract, no matter how many notices, you can stay till the end of the contract.
