Q: I am a Filipina Muslim and my husband is an Egyptian Muslim. We got our marriage in the Egyptian Consulate, Dubai.
I found my husband cheating on me since January 2020 and confirmed that he has a new wife (which I have doubt if they are married or not).
Since then, I asked him about our divorce. This month of October, he confesses that he is not married to that woman and he wants to go back with me.
I refused because I have already decided to end our marriage. He was hurting me and mentally torturing me so I've come up to this point. He's also delaying our divorce so I want to push him to end this ASAP.
My questions are:
1. What is the easiest way to finish our divorce fast? Is it mutual consent divorce? or Shall I file divorce against his cheating?
2. What is the difference between divorce in court and divorce in the Egyptian Consulate, Dubai? Because I want to legalize our divorce in the three countries (Egypt, the Philippines, and the UAE).
My only concern here is to finish our divorce ASAP so I can live normally again.

Q: Hello,
I am an Indian Hindu expat residing in the UAE since 2009-12 & 2013 till date and married since 2009. I hold an employment visa and not dependent on my husband.
I have been living separately from him since March 2018 to date and we both mutually want to divorce due to compatibility issues. We do not have children, assets or bank accounts or any liability as a couple.
Please advise if we are to acquire a divorce in the UAE, will it be legit in our home country India?
Are we to request for Indian Hindu laws/procedures for the divorce here?

How to protect my rights during divorce as a Muslim woman?

1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
My husband wants to divorce me, but he does not want to contact our Sheikh or anyone else. He said that I need to do that.
If I do that first, will it affect me in the future? We have a son. I am not currently working. Is there any chance that they can take my child from me?
We are both Muslim, and my son is of the same nationality as me (his father is a different nationality). In the case of divorce, is there any payment from the husband for the child?
How should I act smart to avoid any issues in the future and keep my child with me?
Where do I need to start?
Kindly advise me!
Do I need to have a lawyer, or can I do this myself? (Unfortunately, I am not sure if I can afford a lawyer.)
Thank you!

My ex-wife had refused to take my house in Sharjah and wants a one-time payment. What to do?

0
Q: My ex-wife had refused to take my house in Sharjah. She refused to accept that I arrange a house and asked for a full one-time payment.
And despite we paid, she is reluctant to provide a house contract and refused to comply the request and proof of residence as the court has granted housing allowance to her.
She had asked for housing as she did not had any whereas she has still staying with her family since then.
In this situation, do I have the right to ask the court to cancel or reduce this amount in this scenario or she can again twist this in some way.
Will this be a fruitful exercise to lodge the issue?

What are the reasons an expat Muslim woman need to provide to divorce her Muslim husband?

1
Q: Can an expat Muslim woman divorce her Muslim husband without his consent and without giving a reason?
I have a thousand reasons but little evidence and I don't want to trigger a lengthy hostile process since he's rich and I'm not and he's evil.

The public prosecution appealed a judgment to increase the fine I already paid. What do I do now? 0
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your time.
The public prosecution appealed my judgment (a fine that I satisfactorily cleared) and requested increasing the fine.
Can you please explain what happens during a criminal case appeal hearing for me as a defendant?
Will I be asked questions?
Is the hearing just for the Public Prosecution to present their appeal to the judge, and I do not need to give a response?
Thank you again for your time.

Is it possible?
How long will it take for his release and court order?
What will be the court order?

I purchased an apartment, but the previous landlord refuses to vacate. What to do? 0
Hello,
I bought an apartment, but the previous landlord is refusing to vacate it. The contract clearly states that the landlord should hand over the apartment on the day of the transfer.
Out of courtesy, I gave him three days to vacate so he could find a new place to stay, but the time has passed, and he is still refusing to vacate and hand it over.
What should I do in this case?
