Q: My employer has already applied for my entry permit last month. Do I require a good conduct certificate, as from 4th Feb it has been made compulsory as per the UAE new law? As with a short notice, it will be hard for me to arrange the same and also attestation is a lengthy process which will take time

س: هل الحكم بغرامة فقط في قضية شيك مرتجع يظهر في شهادة حسن السيرة والسلوك؟ هل الحكم بالغرامة يعتبر حكم نهائي؟

Q: Hi, I have two bounced cheque cases registered against me. I would like to know the following: When I clear these cases in the court, will I be able to get a certificate of good conduct after clearing the cases? Also, would the certificate end up mentioning the cheque cases that I have cleared? Awaiting your reply.

س: هل أستطيع أن أعرف ما إذا كان هناك بلاغ ضدي أو منع من السفر عن طريق طلب شهادة حسن السيرة والسلوك؟

س: السلام عليكم، صدر ضدي حكم بمبلغ عشرين ألف درهم عندما شهد شاهد يعمل لدى محامي. علمًا بأن المحامي كان شريكًا لي ولكن باسم ابنه وتوجد وكالة ولا أعرف ابنه أصلاً. قدَّم لي شيكًا بتاريخ 22/11/2014. علمًا بأن الشيك من اسمه إلى اسمي ويدَّعي أنني اقترضت منه ذلك المبلغ وقدمت للقاضي جميع الإثباتات التي تثبت أن المبلغ صُرف لإصدار رخصة خلال أسبوعين ونصف من تاريخ الشيك والذي شهد لم يكن حاضرًا عندما سلمني الشيك.

س: السلام عليكم، من أين تُستخرَج شهادة حسن السيرة والسلوك للمقيم؟ وهل يمكن أن يكون الأخ وكيلاً في حالة أنني تزوجت في الإمارات من مقيمة؟

يلعب الشيك دوراً مهماً في الحياة اليومية سواء في ميدان المعاملات التجارية أو في ميدان المعلامات المدنية باعتباره أداة وفاء والتزام تحل محل النقود في التعامل بين الافراد. ونظراً لهذه الأهمية فقد أصبح أكثر الأوراق التجارية انتشاراً وتداولاً بين الناس، على الرغم من حداثته نوعاً ما. فالشيك لم يبق كما كان في بداية عهده أداة لسحب الودائع المصرفية لحساب الساحب ذاته، بل أصبح أداة وفاء تحل محل النقود سواء على النطاق الداخلي بالنسبة للمعاملات التي يقوم بها الأفراد داخل الدولة فحسب وزادت أهميته.

The provisions of this Law, known as "UAE Labour Law", govern the relationship between employers and employees and other labour matters in the United Arab Emirates. There are special labour related regulations applicable in some of the free zones in the UAE.

According to this Decree, tentative approval to admit a foreign worker for the purpose of employment in the UAE cannot be granted until an Employment Offer that conforms with the Standard Employment Contract is duly signed by the employee and presented to the Ministry of Labour.

The provisions of this Decree-Law, known as "New UAE Labor Law", govern labour relations in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates. The New Labor Law repeals the previous UAE Labor Law (Federal Law No. (8) of 1980).
