The requirements of conducting business in Bahrain if you are a foreign resident
Hello Sir/Madam,
I am a foreigner living in Bahrain on a dependent visa and I am unemployed. I am good at making sweets. I want to sell my sweets locally in stores.
I am an artist also and I want to sell my paintings too. So, I am concerned about starting a small home business that won’t be against Bahrain Law.
I need your advice to put my step forward.
Thank you!

Hello,
This is Hawra from Abdulwahab Attorneys & Legal Consultants.
As a non-Bahraini, you are not eligible to use a Virtual Commercial Registration (also known as SIJILI) or to register with the Ministry of Labour under the Khatwa program.
As a result, the only way to avoid legal liability is to establish a company in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
