What is the procedure for leaving work without notice in case of salary non-payment?

I am a GCC national working for a private company in Dubai. I am employed under an unlimited GCC employment contract.

I have not been paid my salary for the month of September. I have already filed a complaint to MOHRE 2 days ago and they accepted the complaint. I also sent in my notice to resign yesterday.

Do I have any right to terminate my contract without notice due to the employers failing to meet their obligations towards the employee?

Dear Questioner,

Indeed you are entitled to terminate the contract with immediate effect based on the employer violating article 121 of the labour law.

Is there a specific procedure for this or do I just send an email to my direct supervisor that I have terminated the contract?

Thank you

Send a formal notice through your official email that you are terminating the contract as a result of the violations against Article 121 of the UAE labor law.

And as a result, I am resigning immediately and without notice, hence I am expecting my Full & Final Settlement to be sent to my email within three days, starting from the date of sending your notice with full reservation to claim your rights through the judicial channels.

You can send a similar email to the company and it would be better if a lawyer drafted it for you based on the facts we have and according to the law.

Please feel free to contact me at my email.
