Repercussions of resigning before one month of contract expiry due to harassment

My contract is ending on October 19, 2021.

I have resigned from the company last September 18, 2021 (limited contract) because of harassment I have been receiving from the CEO and employees of the company due to the manipulation and politics from the CEO.

I have not continued working in the company since September 19, 2021, because of the harassment from the company which is risking my health condition.

First question, since my visa is expiring on the 19th of October, do I need to approach the company to cancel my visa or will my visa expire and will be cancelled automatically without me going back to my employer and ask them to cancel my visa?

Second Question, I know the legal consequences of breaching the limited contract, compensation of the remaining no of days from the contract and labour ban of 6 months. Can I avoid these?

Can I get another working visa from another company if I get banned?

Dear Questioner,

Pursuant to the query, if you have any problem you are facing with your employer, you can make a complaint to the MOHRE.

And regarding the cancellation, you have to cancel your visa properly.

If you breach a limited contract, your employer can put a ban accordingly.

Further, we need to know your matter in detail to give you proper advice.

Kindly contact us on our phone.

Yes, I have filed a complaint with the MOHRE and now the mediation and settlement are in process.

With regards to the cancellation, you mentioned I have to cancel my visa properly, can you please expound how it will be cancelled?

Does this reflect the first question that I have to still approach the company so they can cancel me and it will not cancel on its own automatically?

And with regards to the ban, I have received different answers from the MOHRE, one is saying I will get an automatic ban for 6 months for breaching the contract, another is saying, that it's not automatic since I have already finished my probation period and the ban will be up to the discretion of the employer and it will be 1-year ban if the employer wishes to put a ban.

The person handling my case in the labour seems to be saying different things compared to the other officers in the labour whom I have spoken with several times already.

Can I ask the labour to assign me a different person to handle my case?

If not, do I have the right to cite and raise applicable labour laws and clarifications to the labour officer who is currently handling my case?

Thank you again.
