The restriction to travel to the UAE is still valid while the bank issue is cleared
Hello,
My inquiry is in connection with a restriction placed on my wife from entering the UAE.
In May this year, we flew to the Dubai airport. I was cleared but my wife was not. Please note that my wife never lived in the UAE although we both lived in Qatar. We contacted Qatar and consequently cleared the issue she had with a bank and was given a clearance letter from the bank.
However, the restriction in the UAE is still valid even after we had settled the original issue. This has been ongoing for the past 3 months. I will like to engage a legal service to help us resolve this and obtain a police clearance.

Dear questioner,
1. Did your wife submit the clearance letter she received from QNB to the police and public prosecutor in Qatar?
2. In order to understand the travel restriction imposed under your wife's name, we need to perform a travel ban checking to see exactly which records are registered against her in the UAE.
3. She will not be able to obtain a police clearance certificate if she was never a UAE resident.
If you need my support, please contact me via email.
Best Regards,
Raluca Gatina

Dear John,
Were not you given any information about the reason for not clearing your wife in the airport?
Usually, authorities inform any person not allowed to leave about the reason for their restriction and they usually provide him\her with a case number and a few details.
We would advise you to inquire at the nearest police station. Please make sure that you get a case number.
Once you get the case number, you can trace and understand the reason for the restriction, then you can act to resolve the issue and cancel the restriction.
