How to hold the father responsible to pay allowance for his family?

I am a 22-year-old UAE national university student, and my father is refusing to pay my monthly allowance.

I have no source of income and no insurance as I am still a university student.

Is there any course of action I can follow to force him to provide for me?

He claims to have "disowned" me for no proper justification.

Dear questioner,

There are some legal actions that you can take to get money from your father to cover your living expenses including education.

You can also approach some government entities that could provide financial support.

As for the claim that your father disowned you, it is unaccountable from him without an official court judgment, which is usually difficult to get hold of.

Dear Questioner,

To begin with, you may certainly take legal action against him since it is the father's responsibility to fund your life expenditures, particularly schooling, even if you are beyond the age of 18.

Regarding your father's allegation that he disowned you, he cannot be held liable without an official court judgment, which is generally hard to get.

If you need any further information or legal assistance, do not hesitate to contact us on the phone or by email.

Will be there for you :)
