Q: I left Dubai in 2009 after being made redundant and unfortunately had outstanding liabilities (credit card) for around AED 218,000.
After being unable to successfully find a new job, I had to return to the UK (home country). I want to find out the current status of any travel ban or a police case against my name.
Likewise, I want to reach an amicable arrangement to carry on repaying these obligations. Unfortunately, my old passport and residency visa from my time in Dubai was lost in 2012.
I likewise, retain no credit card information from my accounts at the banks.
Please, can anyone advise on the correct steps forward?
Thank you kindly.

Requesting the eviction of tenant for failing to pay rent

4
Q: Hi,
I have a property in Dubai.
The lease expired end of February 2020, however, the tenant has not renewed the lease and is not paying me any rent. Also, the Dubai Government said I cannot give an eviction notice to tenants in March and April due to COVID-19.
It's almost 3 months and now she says she is not getting paid by her job and she is making excuses for payment or renewal.
Can I approach Dubai court now and send her a notice for nonpayment and eviction?
Please advise.
Thank you so much

Action against tenant for failing to pay the rent and utility bills

1
Q: I have a property in Dubai which I rented out to a holiday home company to operate on short/long term rentals.
I have been provided quarterly cheques for 1 year and executed PoA in their favour to manage the property.
The cheque bounced, and despite my repeated requests, they're not clearing the dues or replying to communications.
They have also not executed Ejari nor providing me documents to do so. The utility connections are being operated in my name with outstanding dues there also.
Subsequently, I served a legal notice to pay the outstanding and vacate and for the cancellation of the PoA via Notary Public on 5th Dec, but they refused to take delivery of the notices and the Aramex courier was returned to me. I also sent a copy of legal notices by email.
In parallel, I filed a cheque bounce case with Dubai Police and awaiting action from them.
Now, I am not sure what are my further legal options. How will I be ensured that the property is vacated and payment of rent and utilities will be made?

How can I refund the amount of online tickets in Dubai for fraudulant misrepresentation? 0
Last Friday, I was booking tickets for the Miracle Garden on some Dubai tickets website, and on the OTP page, it showed 225 to be paid on my phone. The otp was added automatically, and I couldn't read the message properly. It turns out 4,225 got deducted from my account.
I immediately called the bank, and they said they can't reverse the transaction, fill out the dispute resolution form, etc. Even tho the transaction was in process today, the transfer shows complete.
Is there a way to get it back?
I registered an online complaint with the Central Bank and cybersecurity. I really need the money with my rent coming up, please guide me.

What to do if someone impersonated an employee in the company I own and got mobile lines and phones? 0
Someone impersonated an employee in the company I have owned since 2012 and extracted 18 mobile lines in addition to several iPhones.
I was surprised that the company cut off our landline and mobile communications on the pretext that he was monitoring a debt of 167,000 dirhams.
This person was arrested, tried, found guilty, and sentenced to deportation. However, the telecommunications company is still demanding from my company and pursuing me because of this debt that we are not to blame for.
How can this matter be resolved?

How long does it take for a bounced cheque case to be closed after a settlement? 0
Hello,
I had a cheque bounce case filed against me in Dubai, but I’ve now settled it with the complainant. The case has been with the Public Prosecution, and I’ve already submitted the notarized settlement documents.
It’s been 5 days since submission, and when I checked with the legal team, they couldn’t give me a clear timeline on how long it might take for the case to be withdrawn and for me to receive clearance.
Does anyone here have experience with this process? How long did it take for your case to be closed after submitting the notarized withdrawal request? Should I expect it to be done in a few days, or could it take longer?
Thanks in advance!

One of our partners on the license has not been in communication since November 2024.
He is also in Dubai but is not answering phone calls or replying to messages.
What is the procedure to remove his name from the license in this situation without his absence?
