Q: Hello Madam,
I hope you're doing fine.
I am unable to get a security deposit of AED 2000 from the landlord.
The current real estate agent claims that the landlord has some legal dispute with the former real estate company and I can't get my refund.
Can you kindly guide me on the above?

Refund of security deposit from the landlord at the end of tenancy
2
Q: I have vacated my flat in the first week of February. The old tenant made so many changes in the flat and the landlord knows about this one.
They told me that they will not charge me. It was in 2016. Now, they refused to pay my security deposit back because they don't have any proof whether they deducted from the old tenant or not.
What can I do?
Please help.

View allIs it possible for the employer to drop a case filed by employee in free zone? 0
I filed a complaint to SHAMS regarding unpaid salaries.
My employer drafted a contract saying I should drop the complaint within a week. If I fail to do so, they have the right to do it themselves.
Is this acceptable?

I have just joined a company with a limited contract. I signed an MOL, but haven’t done the medical tests.
I am currently working and it’s been 15 days. Can I resign during this period or not?

Winding down an LLC company and the liability of the manager after absconding 0
Hi there Michael,
I am a 24% shareholder in an LLC wherein the other shareholders are our local partner with 51% shares and the partner who is listed as manager on the trade license with 25% shares.
The manager has absconded leaving behind unpaid VAT and other debts that are well over 30 days due (up to a year). No proceedings by creditors have been filed against the company and the MOA contains a general POA in favor of the Manager.
I would like to wind down the company without going through bankruptcy procedures. My understanding is that the listed manager of an LLC is personally liable for the Company's debts.
I need advice about the procedures required to wind down the company. I do not wish to go through bankruptcy procedures as the finances and management of the company were being handled by the manager. I am just the creative director of the LLC.
Please advise as soon as possible.

Requirements and procedures of attending an online labour case hearing 0
Good afternoon,
I have a few questions regarding my upcoming labour case. My contract was unlimited and my employer falls under the immigration authority, where I worked for 3 and a half years and I have a claim amount of AED 36,000.
I have filed a labour case for unfair termination and I've had my case registered through Adheed Centre. They have filed my complaint and given me my case number and now I have been asked to attend a first hearing on the 7th of July and I've been told that it will be a remote hearing.
I just wanted to know if possible what the procedures are for this remote hearing and how it will be and if it's necessary to have legal representation for my labour case?
Having seen the people in the Centre, I am pretty certain a good number of them can not afford a lawyer as well.
So in case they don't speak Arabic and don't have a lawyer present, how will the hearing and case proceed?
