Requirements for marriage of non-national residents in Iran

I am typing this message to ask you about marriage.

I have a girlfriend from another country and she is curious to make marriage in Iran with me.

I am a 30-year-old and non-Irani resident and don't know about marriage.

Is it possible to get married to her in Iran?

Thanks

Hello

Normally in every country, you can go to the embassy and request for this and it is the same in Iran.

The embassy also is usually the embassy of the husband's country and it is same in Iran. Like if you are Chinese and your girl is Turkish, you should go to the Chinese embassy in Iran.

Some other factors are related:

1- if you are a government employee.

2- if either of you is an illegal resident.

3- Religion. According to Iran Civil Code: "Marriage of a female Muslim with a non-Muslim is not allowed". This rule doesn’t specify that if the female is Iranian national, so it is applicable to your situation too.

Other requirements are under "conflict of laws" rules, which mostly depends on both of your nationalities. Since you didn’t mention the nationality this is all I can tell you.
