Can I request applying the Indian Special Marriage Act for divorce in the UAE?

Is it possible for an Indian couple to file a mutual divorce from marriage under the Special Marriage Act of the Indian Law in the UAE?

If you are mutually divorcing, then the UAE court allows you to make a mutual agreement and submit it to the court according to it and the court will recognize the agreement and issue a judgment.

If your marriage was done by the Special Marriage Act, then you can file a divorce according to it.
