The UAE has temporarily suspended the requirement of a good conduct certificate for employment visas across the country until further notice.

On March 29, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFA) sent out a letter stating the UAE suspends requesting certificates of good conduct from foreign employees who arrive in the UAE for work purposes.

It added that starting on April 1, 2018, all embassies and consulates need not request the certificate for work applicants.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply but that was not my query.

I had some bank debt when I left Dubai and had a bounced cheque case which I paid a fine for.

I am looking to come back to Dubai to start a new job but my Dubai police clearance certificate was 'rejected' when I applied online.

Does this mean there is an open case?

Thank you

Thank you for rephrasing your question. Payment of a fine is for the criminal case (which is filed first).

To claim the payment of a debt, the bank will file a civil case and that could be the reason.

Thank you for your reply again.

I have been offered a new job in Dubai in 3 weeks. How can I remove a potential travel ban?

If it pertains to a debt, then to clear it.
