Compensation for expenses incurred while waiting for settlement completion
Dear lawyer,
I have been waiting for my final settlement for nearly 4 months. My visa has already expired but I am still staying in Dubai as the employer said that the overstay fine will be paid by them.
My question is, can I ask the employer for compensation against my expenses incurred throughout my waiting period until settlement completion?

If it is mentioned in the settlement and termination letter you signed the fact that your former employer will bear your expenses throughout your waiting period until the settlement is completed, then yes, you can request them.
However, did you agree to a late settlement? Did you sign a document stating that you received all the rights, even if you did not receive them?
I ask this because if you have signed such a letter, then you have little chance of receiving the outstanding amount.
