Asking an employee to sign an illegal letter to release his cancellation papers
Hello,
I have resigned from my company and it has been 2.5 months now. They are asking me to sign a letter which says that if any recovery doesn’t happen with the vendor, they can legally claim it from me.
I have an offer from another company but since I am not getting the cancellation papers, I am not able to join them.
What should I do?

Please note that your employer cannot claim any such amount from you. You shall not sign any such letters as well.
If the company is not giving you cancellation papers, please file a complaint in the ministry regarding the same [and also if they are not releasing your end of service benefits] and contact Tawafouq center for cancellation of visa.
