Not returning to work after emergency leave

Q: I worked in UAE for 2 years and 3 months, I've already taken my free vacation after my 2 yrs contract and I returned to work, but suddenly, some emergency happened at home, so I need to take emergency leave and go back home. But the problem is, after my emergency leave, I was unable to return to work.
I want to know if I have been blacklisted because of that?

Consequences of leaving the UAE without proper cancellation of employment visa

Q: I was with a company in Dubai for 22 days, due to a family emergency I left home and paid compensation as in the work contract (45 days salary was the compensation).
After 6 months of exit, I started requesting the company to cancel my visa and Emirates ID, but they are ignoring it. They want me not to come to the UAE again.
Can you guide me on this?

Transferring end of service benefits to absconding employee

Q: Hi,
We have an employee who has taken half a million and fled the country.
We have cancelled his visa (out of the country) and now awaiting his signature on the EOSB calculation to transfer to his bank (as per the salary transfer letter).
The employee has reverted stating that he will not sign it since he wants the EOSB sent to his account back home.
He says he will go for a legal action against the company, in case we transfer the funds and the bank is constantly following up for the funds.
What can we do? Do we have to wait for the consent? Will we be legally challenged in case we transfer the fund to his bank account without his consent?

Cancellation of an employee from immigration while he's in detention

Q: Hi
My employee is in the central jail in a case, and I cancelled his labour contract but not immigration, but in the labour contract cancellation application written a note to cancel the visa from immigration in 30 days.
My employee in the police custody I don't know when the police will release him. Now, what shall I do if I do not cancel his visa because I only cancelled his labour card for the WPS cancelation?
Give me some advice.

Claiming entitlements from employer after receiving final settlement

Q: Hi,
We have a previous employee who was terminated last February, and he received his final settlement and his visa expired in April.
Then our previous manager renewed his visa in May for some personal agreement. He didn't report to work from May to July, and by the end of July, he filed a case while the previous manager was outside the country.
He is asking for 3 months' salary & 3 months' arbitrary compensation.
What can our company do?

Returning back to country if the employer didn't cancel visa

Good evening.
One of my friends cancelled her visa from the company. Now, she's in her home country for more than a year and planning to come back.
But the issue is when her cousin applied for a visit visa, the agency said her previous company didn't cancel her.
Can you please suggest?

Bank filed a civil case over a loan: Better to settle with the bank or in court? 0
Good day, Sir,
I have received a message from the Dubai Court stating that a bank has filed a civil case against me. The loan has been pending since February 2019.
I cleared the cheque bounce case earlier with a court fine in 2019. I am looking forward to a minimum settlement plan with the bank. The outstanding amount was around 70,000 AED, and now the message is for 115,000 AED.
What will be the best way for me to proceed: approaching the bank or dealing with it in court?

Demanding that an employee pay for visa charges a year after resigning 0
Dear Lawyers,
I worked at a bakeshop here in Dubai. I resigned exactly one year ago. Now they want me to pay for visa charges, as stated in the offer letter.
If I cannot pay for the charges, my employer will claim financial loss due to the damages, estimated to be at least 7,000 AED.
What should I do about this? My monthly salary is only 2,800 AED.
